Oro Valley Christmas Tree Lighting 2007

This is the 8th annual Christmas tree lighting event being held Friday night Nov. 30, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the town hall. This is not the Oro Valley Town Hall, but you get the idea.

Capitol Christmas TreeWhile Arizona may only have a “Holiday Tree” here in Oro Valley we will have a Christmas Tree. There will be performances by the Canyon Del Oro Singers, the Ironwood Ridge High School ensemble and choir as well as Painted Sky and Wilson school choirs.

Bobby Rich of 94.9 Mix FM “Bobby and Brad Show” will be the emcee for the event.

Those attending are encouraged to being a non-perishable food item or an unwrapped gift which will go to the Adopt-A-Family Charity. Cash donations will also be accepted and a suggested donation of $1 person or $5 per family would be appreciated.

Oh, yes, and Santa Claus will be there courtesy of the Golder Ranch Fire District. I guess if the sleigh is in for pre-season servicing the next best thing is a Fire truck.

Everyone should have a fun time, and we might even get wet. But it won’t be from snowflakes, just pre-season snow (we call it rain).

  1. I would recommend everybody to contribute to the adopt a family charity. It is a great way to give back to the community during the holiday season. You can see the results of your contributions first hand. Our office contributes to this cause.
